The UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs & International Cooperation has participated in Voice of Global South Summit, which is hosted by India.
The UAE has participated as a guest country in the upcoming G20 Summit, which is being hosted by India. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan will address the Voice of Global South Summit.
The Voice of the Global South Summit was attended by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, via teleconference.
India is hosting the summit as part of its G20 Presidency, and the UAE has been invited to attend as a guest nation at the upcoming G20 Summit.
Foreign ministers and other senior government representatives from more than 120 nations attended the two-day Voice of Global South Summit, which began on Thursday.
The summit’s goal was to give nations a forum to discuss their objectives and exchange ideas.
India aims to give non-G20 nations the right forum to exchange pertinent thoughts and expectations through this summit and its G20 Presidency.
At the beginning of speech, Sheikh Abdullah said,
“I would like to first thank our partners in India for organizing this important Summit, which aims at further integrating emerging and developing economies into the G-20 Process.”
The UAE has planned to make initiatives and investments across Small Island Developing States, developing, and underdeveloped economies to support their developing economies.
He further said, “The sizable and comprehensive network of UAE initiatives and investments throughout Small Island Developing States, developing, and underdeveloped countries is the result of the UAE’s efforts to close this gap.”
India’s G20 Presidency is going to lead the world in the Group of Twenty (G20). Similarly the UAE will also host Cop28.
The two countries are on the path to lead the world. The bilateral relations and cooperation between India and UAE reached another level.
Sheikh Abdullah said, “As the UAE hosts COP28 in November 2023, it’s also critical to reaffirm our dedication to collaborating closely with the Indian Presidency and our G-20 partners to assure the priorities of the COP and the G-20 are aligned.
I also reaffirm the UAE’s resolve to collaborate with all partners to strengthen knowledge sharing across high-potential and future-oriented industries, including space, technology, and research and development.”
