UAE Discusses UN Envoy For Extending Of The Armistice In Yemen

The UAE President’s Diplomatic Adviser’s discussed with the UN envoy in Yemen, Hans Grundberg, with the objective of extending of the armistice.

Dr. Anwar Gargash, UAE President’s Diplomatic Adviser, met with Hans Grundberg, United Nations (UN) Special Envoy for Yemen.

The current developments in the Yemeni issue and international initiatives to find a peaceful resolution were topics of discussion between the two parties during the conference.

The recent negotiations by Grundberg and other international entities to extend the cease-fire in Yemen and negotiate a permanent cease-fire were also discussed at the conference. 

It was also decided to encourage the involved parties to resume talks and find a peaceful solution.

According to Dr. Gargash, the UAE is in favor of international measures to preserve Yemen’s stability and reduce the hardship of the Yemeni citizens, who are dealing with terrible humanitarian situations.

UAE’s Support In UN International Initiatives

Dr. Gargash also praised Saudi Arabia’s contribution to the UN and the international community’s efforts to find a diplomatic solution to the issue. 

He also mentioned the Yemeni government’s favorable response to the UN’s recommendations for prolonging the cease-fire and reaffirmed his support for the Yemeni Presidential Council.

Grundberg praised the UAE for its important role when discussing the endeavors of all Yemeni organizations and the global community to achieve a truce.

UAE Aims To Provide Peaceful Solutions & Ends Conflicts In Yemen

The UAE reinitiated its commitment to support international efforts to achieve security and stability in Yemen.

The UAE administration aims to reach a permanent ceasefire and return to the discussion table to find better peaceful solutions. They are attempting to return Yemen to its natural role in the region.

The UAE is playing a big role in the peaceful pursuit of ending crises and conflicts in the Yemen region. The country is attempting hard to return to normal life in Yemen.
