UAE Condemns India For Insulting of Prophet

The UAE opposes statements made in India that are derogatory to the Prophet. The country has criticised statements made by the Indian Bharatiya Janata Party’s spokesperson, in which he denounced and rejected insults directed at the Prophet Muhammad.

The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) issued a statement reiterating the country’s categorical rejection of all actions and behaviors that go against moral and human values and principles.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of religious symbols being respected and not being violated, as well as confronting hate speech and extremism.

The Ministry also emphasized the need of bolstering the international community’s shared responsibility for spreading the concepts of intolerance and human cohabitation while avoiding any activities that might inflame the feelings of people of various faiths.

Gulf Countries Welcomes BJP’s Decision

Saudi Arabia and Bahrain joined other Arab countries in condemning Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Nupur Sharma’s inflammatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad on Monday.

While the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia reaffirmed its long-standing rejection of prejudice against Islamic symbols and refused to prejudice all religious characters and symbols.

Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the significance of honoring all religious beliefs, symbols, and personalities. Both Gulf countries, on the other hand, applauded the BJP’s move to suspend its spokeswoman.

The Official Statement By BJP

The BJP has suspended Nupur Sharma for making a remark about Prophet Muhammad, yet claims to appreciate all religions.

The BJP stated it accepted all religions despite suspending Nupur Sharma, its spokeswoman, in response to statements she made during a television debate concerning the Prophet Mohammed.

The party stated in a statement, “The BJP strongly denounces insults of any religious personalities of any religion.”

However, BJP’s ex-spokesperson Nupur Sharma stated that she never intended to offend anyone’s religious sentiments, it was just a response to the insult of her religion.
