Twitter Edit Feature: Twitter has rolled out its ‘Twitter Edit Button’ to let users edit their posts. But it allows only 5 edits within 30 minutes.
Recently, Twitter began internally testing its much-anticipated feature, “Edit Tweet,” which would let users edit their tweets up to 30 minutes after they go live.
The microblogging platform chose to test the functionality by initially making it available exclusively to Twitter Blue subscribers, a premium service.

However, there’s more to it: A tweet can only be changed five times in a 30-minute period, contrary to Twitter’s claim that the test would let it “learn what works, what doesn’t, and what’s possible.”
According to Twitter, a copy of the unaltered original tweet will always be available to the public. Thus, the label will display an “edited tweet” indicator that will display with an icon, timestamp, and label and will also include earlier iterations of the altered tweet. Users will more easily recognise the altered original tweet as a result of this.
In addition, Twitter claimed in a blog post that for the first few weeks, it will only localize the function in one country, and that it will eventually spread it after carefully monitoring how users use the Edit Tweet tool.

As a result, Twitter eventually confirmed that the function will be launched in New Zealand and later extended to Twitter Blue users in Australia, Canada, and the United States once it had a better understanding of the service’s usage trends.
However, opinions on the edit feature have been conflicting. Some worry that the new feature may be used to perpetrate cryptocurrency frauds or distribute political information.
However, it won’t be clear until the new feature is made accessible to all users and they begin using it regularly whether it will result in a mistake or become an indispensable tool for correcting.
