Trial By Fire Is Based On Real-Life Uphaar Cinema Tragedy

Abhay Deol & Rajshri Deshpande starrer ‘Trial By Fire’ represents the real-life fire tragedy of Uphaar Cinema in 1997. The parents are seen struggling for justice.

A fire at the Uphaar Cinema in 1997 resulted in at least 100 casualties and 59 fatalities. The clip begins in a pleasant and inviting home where a mother is saying goodbye to her children as they leave for a movie outing. We will soon witness the atrocities of the fire in the theater.

Next, Abhay and Rajshri Deshpande are shown as struggling parents engaged in the most difficult battle of a parent’s life: the pursuit of justice following the passing of their children.

The story of parents who have been fighting off strong influences for more than 20 years is hard-hitting and intriguing. It tells the tale of their tenacious fight for justice.

Trial by Fire, a new Netflix original series, now has a trailer available. The television show follows the narrative of Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy and depicts their torturous legal battle and incredibly harrowing journey after losing their children in the 1997 fire that destroyed Delhi’s Uphaar Cinema. 

Trial by Fire: The Tragic Tale of the Uphaar Fire Tragedy, authored by Neelam and Shekhar Krishnamoorthy, serves as the basis for the television series.

The trailer does not give off an angst-filled or suspenseful vibe. Rather, it has a subdued tone that is evocative of Talvar by Meghna Gulzar.

Beginning on January 13, 2022, the series will be streamed on Netflix. Rajshri Deshpande, Abhay Deol, Rajesh Tailang, Ashish Vidyarthi, Anupam Kher, Ratna Pathak, Shilpa Shukla, and Shardul Bharadwaj are among the actors who appear in the human drama, which was directed by Prashant Nair and produced by Endemol Shine India and House of Talkies.
