This stovetop pot of spaghetti pizza recipe is made from scratch, but it’s so easy to make and tastes so good!

Step 1

Cook the pasta. Boil a pot of water and add the pasta to it. Cook until it’s al dente, or according to package instructions.

Step 2

Prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan, heat up some olive oil on medium heat. Add in minced garlic and saute for about 30 seconds or until fragrant. 

Add in crushed tomatoes and tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt and pepper. Stir everything together with a wooden spoon then let simmer for about 10-15 minutes or until thickened up nicely.

Step 3

Transfer the cooked pasta into a large bowl then pour over with the sauce mixture you just made then stir together well with tongs or two forks until all of the pasta is coated in tomato sauce. Add in some shredded mozzarella cheese on top then serve hot!

What is the Difference Between “Spaghettoni” & “Spaghetti”?

The difference between spaghettoni and spaghetti is that the former is a thicker variety of pasta while the latter is a thinner one. 

Spaghettoni has more surface area. per gram than spaghetti, so it’s better for things like lasagna or baked ziti. You can often find spaghettoni in the dried pasta aisle.
