Director Vetrimaaran said that this movie is based on other novels and movies, some of which are even given credit after the movie, even though it is not directly based on any genuine or actual happenings. 3. Maryan

Based on actual events, Maryan is an epic love story. Mariyaan, a man who works for an oil business, is the center of attention. He is obliged to accept a two-year contract-based employment in Sudan after his lady love runs into financial difficulties, and once his contract expires, he prepares to go back home to his love. 

But then things take a turn for the worse when militants from Sudan capture him. The remainder of the novel revolves around his decision to flee and find his love again. In addition to her heartbreaking performances, Maryan features stunning photography and music that will stay with you forever.

4. Anegan

Anegan is a romantic entertainment that centers on Madhu and Ashwin, two people who have been in love for many lives. Through four distinct eras, Dhanush and Amyra Dastur portray four distinct roles, brilliantly illustrating the protagonists’ unshakable relationship despite their many separations.

5. Vada Chennai

The way the fishing community was portrayed in the movie sparked several debates when it was originally released. But it triumphed over all disputes and was both critically and commercially successful. Vada Chennai tells the story of Anbu’s path from being a carrom player and hoping to gain a government job to becoming enmeshed in two opposing gangs in Chennai.
