The number theory of Alliance politics of Maharashtra

Maharashtra is the second-largest state with no political representation in India. Making it one of the most critical states to focus on by Indian Political Parties for an upper hand in the upcoming 2024 elections.

Maharashtra was a big contributor in the number of Lok Sabha seats in the 2014 & 2019 Elections for BJP–led NDA at centre.

Looking forward to the 2024 elections of Lok Sabha BJP the current ruling party has joined hands with two major provincial parties of Maharashtra, The Shiv Sena and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

As of now, 48 Lok Sabhas MPs are elected for Central govt. in 2014 & 2019, In the last election, BJP won 23 out of 25 seats it contested for, Shiv Sena won 18 out of 23, and Nationalist Congress Party won 4 out 19 they contested for.

The total seats won by this coalition govt (BJP, Shiv Sena & NCP) was 41 with 51.34% of the state total votes. Still, the political landscape of the state is not in a good mood it can be a roller-coaster for the parties as well as the voters.
