The Kerala Story Box Office Collection Records Success Of ₹81 Crore

Adah Sharma’s film ‘The Kerala Story’ was made with a low-budget of ₹30 crore. The film became a blockbuster hit & collected ₹81 Crore in its 1st weekend.

The Kerala Story, starring Adah Sharma, is still doing well at the box office despite the criticism it has received. 

At a time when high-budget films are struggling to generate profits, the Sudipto Sen film is having a phenomenal run at the box office. It seems that the movie has maintained its momentum thanks to strong word of mouth.

The latest film from director Sudipto Sen, starring actress Adah Sharma, has brought in the cash. Early estimates indicate that it earned Rs 12.50 crore at the box office, continuing its successful run. With this, its total earnings have reached Rs 81.36 crore.

Now, it will be intriguing to see how the film performs at the box office during its second weekend.

Recently, the actress took to Twitter to convey gratitude for the support she has received. “Getting accustomed to #Adahsharma trending daily on Twitter. Adapting to the term BLOCKBUSTER. Thank you so much for making today so memorable! She wrote, “Thank you for making me yours.”

The film also portrays Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani and Sonia Balani in significant roles. The film, directed and written by Sudipto Sen, is based on real-life events. Approximately 32,000 women from Kerala are forced to convert to Islam and participate in the terrorist organization ISIS.

In several Indian states, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Haryana, the Sudipto Sen-directed film is now tax-free. The state government has exempted the show from the entertainment tax, which results in the tickets being sold at a reduced cost.

The Kerala Story brought in 8.03 crore on its first day, 11.22 crore on Saturday, 16.40 crore on Sunday, 10.07 crore on Monday, 11.14 crore on Tuesday, and 12 crore on Wednesday. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the movie probably made approximately Rs 12 crore on Thursday as well.

The Kerala Story movie starring Adah Sharma, is getting more and more successful at the box office. Early estimates indicate that the movie will shortly join the Rs 100 crore club after earning a total of Rs 80.86 crore at the box office on Friday.
