Tata Communications Launches 5G Roaming Lab, To Raise ₹1750 Crore

The telecom company, Tata Communications, has launched a cloud-based 5G Roaming Laboratory. This laboratory will allow telecom operators to test 5G network use cases before offering them to their customers.

The lab will monitor traffic and network usage to ensure a high-quality experience for mobile phone users while roaming. It will also help assess network performance and conduct internet trials on the 5G network.

The lab is equipped with advanced server applications to provide fast and secure 5G roaming connectivity. This is important as the adoption of 5G is increasing globally, with an estimated 5 billion connections by 2030.

Plans To Raise ₹1,750 Crore Via NCDs

Tata Communications plans to raise ₹1,750 crore by issuing Non-Convertible Debentures (NCD). They will issue 1,75,000 NCDs with a face value of ₹1,00,000 each to eligible investors.

The NCDs will mature three years from the allotment date, which is deemed to be August 29, 2023. Tata Communications intends to list the NCDs on the Wholesale Debt Market Segment of the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE).
