Taali Web Series: Sushmita Sen Share First Look Of Gauri Sawant Biopic

Sushmita Sen shared the first look of her upcoming web series – Taali, on social media. The web series is based on the life of transgender activist Gauri Sawant.

The transgender activist Gauri Sawant will be Sushmita Sen‘s next on-screen character in the web series Taali. Sushmita shared the first shot from the series and wrote that it was an honor to convey Sawant’s narrative to the OTT screen. The series will be directed by Marathi director Ravi Jadhav.

Sushmita announced her ucoming series on Instagram and shared the first look as in the portray of the transgender activist Gauri Sawant. Sushmita wrote on her qost,

“Nothing makes me prouder & more grateful than to have the privilege of portraying this beautiful person & of bringing her story to the world!! Here’s to life & to everyone’s right to live it with dignity!!! I love you guys!!! #duggadugga.”

Who Is Activist Gauri Sawant?

The Sakhi Char Chowghi Trust, an NGO that supports safe sex and offers counseling to transgender persons, was established in 2000 by activist Gauri Sawant. The six-part series will follow Sawant’s journey to becoming India’s first transgender mother, as well as her hardships and setbacks. Additionally, the tender mother-daughter relationship will be emphasized.

A press article states that the exhibition will need between 25 and 50 trans artists per day. For the crowd sequences that will be filmed over the next month, over 300 transgender performers have been hired. Two weeks of filming will take place at the Dahisar studio before the cast and crew relocate to the Lata Kunj villa in Irla.

Sushmita, who has a ton of projects in the works, anticipates finishing the show by November and then starting production on Ram Madhvani’s Aarya’s third season. She is also prepared to make a biopic about her return to the big screen.

He also said that Sushmita has always been a force to be reckoned with when it comes to her skills on screen. 

Sushmita completely fits the bill of the protagonist of this biopic. Deepak and his team are sure it is going to be an exciting journey for all of them.
