Pakistan won their last match in T20 world cup. By winning the match against Ireland Pakistan got some booster before leaving the world cup tournament as the team is already eliminated. Pakistan won the match with three-wicket against Ireland on Sunday.
Although they had already been eliminated after losses to India and the USA, this victory provided a positive end to their campaign.
Pakistan chose to bowl first in the match against Ireland, total score by Ireland was 106 for 9. Shaheen Shah Afridi showed a very good game he took 3 wickets for 22 runs.

However, Pakistan’s batting order again failed. The middle order collapsed quickly, losing Fakhar Zaman (5), Usman Khan (2), Shadab Khan (0), and Imad Wasim (4), putting Pakistan in serious trouble. Babar Azam held the fort at one end while Abbas Afridi’s 21-ball 17 helped stabilize the innings, leading to Shaheen Afridi’s match-winning finish.
Captain Babar Azam remained steady, scoring an unbeaten 32, while Abbas Afridi contributed 17 runs. Together, they put on a crucial 33-run partnership, guiding Pakistan to victory at 111 for 7 in 18.5 overs. Shaheen Afridi sealed the win with two powerful sixes in his quick 13 not out from just five balls.
This victory although did not change their tournament fortunes as the points are not worthy for both of the teams but it boosted Pakistan’s morale and demonstrated their fighting spirit.
