With new partners in Calcutta, the online food delivery aggregator hopes to establish a mutually beneficial partnership.
A programme where new restaurant partners are not required to pay a commission for an initial month was unveiled by groceries and food delivery aggregator Swiggy on Friday.
To encourage eateries who are new to the marketplace to consider “online delivery as an additional channel to launch their growth,” the project known as Swiggy Launchpad gives 0 percent commission.
According to Swiggy, restaurant partners may be able to save up to 20,000. The goal of the Swiggy Launchpad program is to persuade businesses that are new to Swiggy to consider online delivery as an additional channel for their growth.
Via commissions and other incentives, restaurant partners might possibly save as much as INR 20,000 and decide to reinvest it in their company to focus on growth.
According to the business, the offer also includes free marketing on the Swiggy app and a dedicated growth manager.
A wider delivery area, applications to handle business performance and design top-notch menus, and data & insights from business intelligence dashboards will also be included.
“Online food delivery has been a reliable way for new restaurants to get more customers and expand throughout the years.
Many brands, however, are unsure as to where and how to start. These new establishments can test the waters with the 0% commission while still saving money,” said a statement.
We continually explore ways to encourage aspiring food entrepreneurs to try out online food delivery, “the CEO of Food marketplace Swiggy, Rohit Kapoor, remarked.
“We wish more restaurants, cloud kitchens, as well as other food startups feel more confident about delivering meals online and take the plunge with 0% commissions for the first month of their business. We anticipate welcoming a lot of new partners,” he continued.
In its FY22 report, Swiggy stated that its net loss had increased to $3,628.9 crore. In the prior fiscal, the company suffered a net loss of 1,616.9 crores.
