Sunny Leone’s ‘Madhuban Mein Radhika’ puts her in Struggle

‘Arrest Sunny Leone’ trends in India after her new song, a party number Madhuban was released on Wednesday. A priest in Uttar Pradesh has been added to the list of people who are opposing the song and protesting against it.

The music video was put on the social media application YouTube by Saregama Music and was a recollected version of Kanika Kapoor and Arindam Chakraborty. The song was originally sung by a celebrated Hindu singer Mohammed Rafi in 1960 for a film called Kohinoor.

A recent report in the local media revealed that the Mathura-based priest called for a ban on Sunny Leone for the new party number as she seemed to have hurt religious sentiments by performing an obscene dance on the iconic scene from the famous movies.

The priest had stated, “We will go to court if the government does not act against the actress and ban her video album.” Sant Naval Giri Maharaj of Vrindaban said that the actress must apologize for the image that the song created and should withdraw the scenes from the music video.

Other than that, Akhil Bhartiya Tirth Purohit Mahasabha’s national president Mahesh Pathak, also slammed the actress and said that the song has seriously maligned the prestige of the religious city by using the language and the scenes in a derogatory manner. Many of the other religious groups have condemned the song as, according to them, it had hurt religious sentiments over the sensual portrayal of the song. Even many of the netizens slammed the song as it is known to have shown love between Krishna and Radha.
