Startups Whose Fortune Changed after Coming to Shark Tank India

Season 1 of Shark Tank India was a welcome change on Indian prime time television. It was the show that introduced the topic of entrepreneurship to Indian households. In addition, the earnings of the businesses that appeared on the tank were altered. Here are some of the brands that appeared on the tank before and after.

Get-A-Whey

Get-A-Whey is a very healthy ice cream business that began as a simple kitchen experiment. Jash Shah and Pashmi Shah Agarwal, together with their mother Jimmy Shah, created the company. Ashneer Grover, Aman Gupta, and Vineeta Singh, sharks, invested 1 crore in the company for a 15% stake.

Get-A-Whey had monthly sales of roughly 20 lakhs before appearing on Shark Tank India, but after appearing on the show, its monthly sales jumped to around 80 lakhs – 1 crore. Its dissemination has also expanded from three locations to presently 19 cities.

Skippi Ice Pops

Skippi Ice Pops was the first ice popsicle company in India. It was also the first brand on the show to receive an All Shark contract. It obtained a one-crore investment in exchange for a 15 percent stake in the company. Ravi Kabra and Anuja Kabra created the Hyderabad-based firm.

Skippi had monthly sales of 4-5 lakhs before joining Shark Tank India, which climbed to 70 lakhs per month after the show. Its formerly regional distribution has been expanded to include Uganda, Nepal, Kuwait, Hong Kong, and Dubai.

Auli Skincare Solutions

Auli Skincare Solutions is a cruelty-free and handmade active Ayurveda brand. Aishwarya Biswas created the organization. It was given a loan of 75 lakhs in exchange for a 15% stake in the company. It had monthly sales of 10-12 lakhs before going on the show, which climbed to 30-37 lakhs after Shark Tank India.

Brainwired

Cows’ health and reproductive cycle are tracked by Brainwired. Sreeshankar S Nair and Romeo P Jerard founded it. They brought on three sharks, Namita Thapar, Peyush Bansal, and Ashneer Grover, for a total of 60 lakhs for a 10% stake.

They had monthly revenue of 1-2 lakhs before coming on the show. However, after appearing on Shark Tank India, their monthly sales jumped to an average of 35 lakhs. They will shortly begin exporting to other countries.

TagZ Food

TagZ Food is a brand of popped potato chips. It was created by Anish Basu Roy and Sagar Bhalotia, who impressed shark Ashneer Grover with a transaction worth 75 lakhs for 2.75 percent stake. Its monthly sales have increased by thrice since joining the tank. It has also expanded its reach from six to twenty Indian cities, as well as Dubai, Kuwait, and Australia.

The Sass Bar

Rishika Nayak started The Sass Bar, a dessert soap company. It sells a variety of delectable-looking handcrafted soaps. It was offered a contract worth 50 lakhs in exchange for a 35 percent stake in the company. Before appearing on Shark Tank India, the company’s monthly sales were in the tens of thousands of rupees, but after the show, they climbed to tens of thousands of rupees each month.

Heart Up My Sleeves

Heart Up My Sleeves is a detachable sleeves company that specializes in fashionable, reusable, and unique sleeves. Riya Khattar, who impressed shark Vineeta Singh, created the company and secured a finance of Rs. 25 lakhs in exchange for a 30% stake.

Heart Up My Sleeves had monthly sales of roughly 1.5-2 lakhs with local distribution before going to the exhibition, which climbed to 6-7 lakhs and is now distributed on Nykaa Fashion, Myntra, and other platforms.
