Smriti Mandhana Led India To Defeat England By 8 Wickets

IND vs ENG 2nd T20I: Indian cricketers Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur & team performed very well on the ground. India (146/2) beat England (142/6) by 8 wickets.

The second T20I between India and England women is taking place at Derby’s County Ground. Harmanpreet Kaur and company may find it challenging to recover in the series after suffering a crushing 9-wicket loss in the opening T20I.

In the first game, the Indian team was completely outmatched by the home team because they lacked focus in all three areas, and England seized control of it to easily win.

India (146/2) Beat England (142/6) By 8 Wickets

India wins the second T20I by an 8-wicket margin to tie the series at 1-1. Smriti Mandhana adds a stylish final run with a boundary. 

For her team to succeed, Mandhana played a stunning knock off 79 runs*. Harmanpreet Kaur, the captain, also made a spirited 29 runs.

India took full advantage of England’s failure to match India’s intensity with the ball. India defeated England (142/6) by 8 wickets (146/2 in 16.4 overs).

Smriti Mandhana’s Participations

Vice-captain of the Indian women’s side Smriti Mandhana is not anticipated to play in the forthcoming Big Bash League in Australia. 

Since February 2022, she has played all of the matches continuously. She participated in the bilateral tournament between India and New Zealand in February and thereafter in the ODI World Cup. 

Later, she took part in the Commonwealth Games as well. With England, she is currently playing another bilateral series.

Smriti Mandhana In Big Bash League

October 13 marks the beginning of the Big Bash League. The tournament will go on through the end of November.

Smriti might, however, withdraw from the Australian T20 competition Big Bash League.

Smriti Mandhana has said, “Even if not mentally, it is important to manage without physical stress. 

I want to come out of the Big Bash League. Because I don’t want to miss the international matches played by the Indian team.

Smriti added, “When I play for the Indian team, I want to give a 100 percent performance!”
