Sikh Man Wins Heart With His Take On Zomato-Blinkit Campaign

Blinkit & Zomato started a billboard ad campaign in the new year. Many responded to it on social media creatively. A Sikh man replied, ‘Khana mangoge, Langar denge’.

The year 2023 got off to a good start when Blinkit and its parent firm Zomato worked together on a billboard advertisement.

The sentence “Doodh mangoge, Kheer denge; Kashmir mangoge, cheer denge” (Ask for milk, we will give you kheer; ask for Kashmir, we will tear you apart) from the 2002 movie Maa Tujhe Salaam served as the inspiration for this campaign.

The yellow billboard for Blinkit said, “Doodh mangoge, doodh denge” (Ask for milk, and we will deliver milk), whereas the red billboard for Zomato said, “Kheer mangoge, kheer denge” (Ask for kheer and we will deliver it).

Days after Zomato and Blinkit’s humorous billboard collab, a social activist from Gurugram jumped on the bandwagon with a heartfelt message.

Harteerath Singh, a social activist from Gurugram, uploaded a video to Instagram in which he can be seen in front of the Blinkit and Zomato billboards.

The words “Khaana mangoge langar denge” (If you ask for food, we’ll give it to you for free as Langar) and “Thand lagegi kambal denge” (If you’re cold, we’ll offer you blankets) are written on two banners that Singh is holding.

At the time this story was published, the video Singh shared had more than 2.7 million views and also more than 231,000 likes.

“Be it war-torn locations like the Syrian border or the most isolated settlements, Guru Nanak’s langar is open for everyone irrespective of caste, colour, gender, and faith,” Singh wrote with the video.

The same holds true for covering someone’s honor—since the 14th century!

In a comment on Singh’s video, Blinkit added, “Big fan sir (sic).” Singh responded, “Aao phir, let’s do sewa together,” (come & let’s help people together) in response.

Singh nailed the trend in the most perfect way, according to a different user. Someone said, “So wholesome! I pray for God to richly bless you.
