Shubh Muhurat’s duration for Bhai Dooj rituals on October 26-27

Bhai Dooj, also known as Yama Dwitiya, Bhau Beej, Bhatra Dwitiya, Bhai Dwitiya, and Bhathru Dwitiya, is now taking place. It respects the ties that bind siblings. On this day, sisters execute the tika ceremony in order to wish their brothers a long and happy life, and brothers spoil their sisters by giving them gifts and their favourite things.

The celebration occurs a day after Govardhan Puja and two days after Diwali or Deepavali. It is a yearly event that is observed on the second day of Shukla Paksha in the Kartik month.

This year’s Surya Grahan, or partial solar eclipse, took place on October 25, one day after Diwali. This may have caused the festivals to be postponed by one day. As a result, Bhai Dooj will be observed on October 26 and Govardhan Puja on October 26 and 27. The Dwitiya Tithi will start on October 26 at 2:43 pm and last until 12:45 pm on October 27, according to Drik Panchang.

.The Tilak ceremony for Bhai Dooj will be performed at the auspicious hour on both October 26 and October 27. The auspicious time of Bhai Dooj on October 26 will last for 2 hours and 17 minutes, starting at 1:32 PM and ending at 3:49 PM, while on October 27, it will last for 1 hour and 42 minutes, starting at 11:07 AM and ending at 12:46 PM.

There are various customs connected to the Bhai Dooj holiday. People take a bath, get dressed in new clothes, and rise early on this day. Prepare a thali for worship by include roli-sandalwood, flowers, akshat, vermilion, sweets, betel nut, and a diya during the shubh muhurat for tilak.

Then, arrange a mat in a square on the floor, build a square with rice and flour, and invite your brother to sit on it. Now, light the diya and dab your brother’s forehead with vermillion, sandalwood, and rice. Perform the aarti afterward and present him with paan, betel nuts, and flowers. Finally, give your brother some homemade candy and wish him a nice, prosperous life.
