Showtime: Will Star-Studded Web Series Expose The Dark Side of Bollywood?

The Showtime trailer introduces a web series that explores the inner workings of Bollywood, including the issue of nepotism. The series stars Emraan Hashmi, Mouni Roy, Rajeev Khandelwal, Naseeruddin Shah, and Shriya Saran in important roles.

The trailer follows Emraan Hashmi’s character, Raghu Khanna, who inherits his family’s film studio and aims to turn it into a successful production house.

However, he faces challenges from journalist Mahika Nandy, who wants to make her own mark in the industry. The trailer also features rapper Badshah in a cameo appearance.

Showtime is a Hotstar Original series and is set to premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar on March 8. It is created by Sumit Roy and co-directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar. The series is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic, the digital arm of Dharma Productions.

The trailer highlights the conflict between Emraan Hashmi’s character, who believes that outsiders in the industry ultimately want to become insiders, and Mahima Makwana’s character, who challenges the system and wants to create meaningful cinema.

The series aims to give viewers a glimpse into the dark side of Bollywood, including the power struggles and nepotism that exist within the industry.
