Sherlyn Chopra demands for a public apology, says Sajid Khan is a ‘habitual offender’

Model and actor Sherlyn Chopra accused director Sajid Khan of misconduct in her recent interview. She said that she only hopes for a public apology from the director for his behavior with her. 

While talking to the IANS, Chopra said that she does not want to take legal actions as nothing can be achieved by it. “I just want him to issue a public apology not just to me but to all those women with whom he has tried to indulge in inappropriate acts. He has been a habitual offender where he asks women to come to his home for discussion about work and then he gets into his shameless acts,” added Chopra. 

‘The adult star also said that Khan is protected from every end’, added Chopra. Khan has been at the center of controversies since the start of #metoo movement. This is not the first time that the director is being accused of sexual harassment. Earlier it was implied in the BBC documentary made on the death mystery of Jiah Khan that the director had asked the young actress to strip in front of him. 

It only came to view after Jiah Khan’s sister Karishma spoke about it. Karishma said that when Jiah was asked to remove her top by the director, she feared that she might lose the job as she had signed a contract with him but at the same time, she did not want to do it as it was a clear case of sexual harassment. 

Other than this incident, Sajid Khan was also accused of sexual misconduct with his assistant Saloni Chopra, who is also an actor. Saloni wrote about the experience of working with the Hamshakal’s director saying that ‘it was the most awful of her life’. She revealed that he used to call her at odd hours and ask for her photos in a bikini.  

Two years ago, a journalist also faced such treatment by the director. Karishma Upadhyay shared her horrific experience with the filmmaker recalling that he passed extremely inappropriate comments during the interview in the early 2000s. She said that the director forced himself on her. 

Another actor popular for a role in Lipstick under my Burkha, Aahana Kumar, accused Sajid Khan of talking rubbish to her. He reportedly asked her if she would have sex with a dog for Rs 100 crores. On hearing this, the actor immediately left the scene. 

Last year in September, when a model Dimple Paul accused Khan of sexual harassment and said that she was merely 17 when this happened. She said that now that she does not have her parents with her, she can be open about the incident following which Twitter was flooded with #arrestsajidkhan.
