Shark Tank India Season 2: New Shark & Host To Join The Show

The entrepreneurship based TV show ‘Shark Tank’ marked a successful season 1. Now Shark Tank India Season 2 is to premiere within 2 months.

Shark Tank is back in India! The entrepreneurship-focused show, which saw tremendous success in Season 1, is aiming to achieve the same success in Season 2. 

On Tuesday, Sony Entertainment Television unveiled the first season 2 promo, which includes the majority of the original sharks as well as a brand-new shark.

Amit Jain, the CEO and co-founder of the CarDekho Group and a new member of the shark gang, shared the footage on Linkedin and expressed how excited he is to be a part of the show.

Looking forward to mentoring aspiring businesspeople on the show as they create a new India, Jain claims.

Ashneer Grover, who amassed a considerable fan base the previous season, will not be returning this time. 

He will be missed, and so will Ghazal Alagh. Rahul Dua, a stand-up comedian, will replace Rannvijay Singha as host for this season.

Five sharks from the first season will return, according to a Sony release including –

• Anupam Mittal, founder and CEO of Shaadi.com,
• Aman Gupta, co-founder and chief marketing officer of boAt,
• Namita Thapar, executive director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals,
• Vineeta Singh, co-founder and CEO of SUGAR Cosmetics, and
• Peyush Bansal, founder and CEO of Lenskart.com,

Amit Jain is going to join them (CEO and Co-founder – CarDekho Group, InsuranceDekho.com).

Beginning in December of last year, the Indian version of the popular Shark Tank program allowed aspiring business owners to pitch their ideas to the panel of judges.

In the meantime, if the judges or the shark are impressed with the founders and business plans, they write checks for a stake in the company.

The channel has not yet provided a date for the Shark Tank India season 2 debut. This year, it’s anticipated to air at some point, most likely in late November or beginning December.
