SCO member countries are going to discuss topical, regional & international issues as well as regional peace, security, trade, connectivity, culture & tourism.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives at the meeting place to attend the SCO summit. After reaching the summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the President of Uzbekistan Shaukat Mirziyoyev.
The representatives of all participating countries took part in a group photo and after that all went for the meeting.

SCO currently includes Russia, Tajikistan, China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan. India and Pakistan entered this group in the year 2017.
This year, six new countries including four Arab countries have entered as dialogue partners with Iran. Thus the SCO of 15 countries will become the largest regional cooperation organization.
External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi also informed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Samarkand, Uzbekistan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Heads of State Summit, was accompanied by Uzbekistan PM Abdullah Arifov, Ministers, Governor of Samarkand Region and senior The officers welcomed.
The PM will hold bilateral meetings with the President of Uzbekistan and some other leaders attending the summit.
It was earlier reported that PM Modi is likely to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Samarkand.
