Sarkaru Vaari Paata box office collection Day 5: Mahesh Babu starrer earns over Rs 150 crore globally

Telugu star Mahesh Babu’s mega film “Sarkaru Vaari Paata” has finally hit the cinema screens after almost two years of hiatus. Receiving mixed responses from fans, the film has witnessed a grand opening as it successfully crossed Rs 150 crore (Gross) at the box office worldwide.

Written and directed by Parasuram Petla, commercial entertainer Sarkaru Vaari Paata was released in the theatres on May 12 after multiple delays due to the restrictions imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Mahesh Babu-starrer Sarkaru Vaari Paata earns Rs 150 crore

Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan has also confirmed that Sarkaru Vaari Paata is running quite good at the box office.

“#SVP WW Box Office CROSSES Rs 150 cr milestone. Day 1 – Rs 75.21 cr. Day 2 – Rs 27.50 cr. Day 3 – Rs 28.84 cr. Day 4 – Rs 29.12 cr. Total – Rs 160.67 cr (sic),” he said in his tweet.

Furthermore, Trade expert Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and said that the Mahesh Babu-starrer has grossed more than $2 million in the United States.

As per reports, the film has earned approximately 8 crores in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Mahesh Babu’s role receiving praises

Noting that no other major Telugu film is hitting the theatres this week, Sarkaru Vaari Paata has a great edge at the box office. The Telugu action comedy film highlights fraudulent banking systems, revolving around a finance agent as he gets conned by a woman. The audience appears to be going gaga over the portrayal of lead actor Mahesh Babu in the film. The movie also has Keerthy Suresh (female lead) and Samuthirakani in the lead roles along with Vennela Kishore, Nadiya, Subbaraju, and Naga Babu in supporting roles with the music given by SS Thaman.
