Delhi Police caught Sanjeev Jain, the CEO and managing director of Parsvnath Developers at the Indira Gandhi National Airport after a 60 km hot pursuit. The arrest occurred after Jain attempted to evade capture when police arrived at his residence on August 3.
DCP (Shahdara) Surendra Choudhary said in a statement, “Jain was arrested on Saturday by the Special Task Force team of Shahdara from IGI airport following non bailable warrants issued for failing to appear before the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.”
The accused faced multiple warrants stemming from a consumer complaint filed by Rajat Babbar in 2017. There were four non-bailable warrants, and one bailable warrant issued by the NCDRC, all pending at the Shahdara police station.
According to the reports filed by the cops, the latest non-bailable warrant was issued on 18 july 2024, for failing to appear before the commission. The accused resided at DLF Phase 2, Gurugram and has been associated with Parsvnath Developers Pvt Ltd for 32 years. The company started in 1984 runs in 37 cities across 13 states in India.
