Salman Khan Makes Appeal To Bombay High Court On Journalist’s Phone Snatching Case

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is involved in another legal matter. He was summoned by the Andheri Magistrate court on 5 April, in a journalist phone snatching incident of 2019.

He approached the Bombay High Court (HC) against the summons that have been issued to him in this case. Reportedly, he was expected to be present at the Metropolitan Magistrate court at Andheri in Mumbai on this matter.

The journalist filed a case against Khan and his bodyguard in 2019. The incident took place in 2019 when the superstar was cycling on the streets of Mumbai and was photographed by a journalist. Khan reportedly got into a heated argument with the journalist and snatched away his mobile phone.

According to India Today, the matter is being investigated by the DN Nagar Police Station in the city. Reportedly, sections 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (criminal intimidation) have been filed against Khan. Magistrate RR Khan also confirmed that a report has been filed against the accused.

Salman Khan is also involved in other legal cases related to the Panvel farmhouse and blackbuck case. Khan filed a defamation lawsuit before the Mumbai City Civil Court against his Panvel Farmhouse neighbour in January. Khan alleged that his neighbour made derogatory remarks against him and his family over a land sale transaction.

According to media reports, Salman Khan filed an application to block the social media accounts of Ketan Kakkad, where he posted derogatory content against the superstar. Kakkad owns a plot of land near Salman Khan’s farmhouse in Panvel, Mumbai.
