Sachin Tendulkar calls the squad for pink ball ‘far better than earlier’

Sachin Tendulkar calls the squad: He is not the first one to talk about the playing cricket squad of  India as he often refrains himself from getting too deep and sticks to crediting the players for their performance.

This came after the second practice match between India and Australia where the match result was drawn. After this match, the former legend warned that there are three challenges in front of the team in Adelaide.

“From the last time that Australia played India they have got three important players. They have got Warner who is back in the team, Smith and (Marnus) Labuschagne,” said while talking to the Associated Press.

He added, This is a far better squad compared to the earlier one. When a couple of your senior members are not there, suddenly that void is felt and that is what Australia feltl.”

The cricket legend said that India has a good bowling attack and in this particular area can match the dreaded Australian attack. He faced the question, which most Indian cricketers seem to be wondering, is this the best bowling attack? To this, the 47-year-old said that all the phases should be kept separate and he does not like comparing one to the other.

But he added that the team has a full circle bowling attack which is suitable for each kind of surface and despite variations in the ground, the Indian team has everything covered up. He credited the team saying that there are bowlers who can swing and also those who can provide variation.

As of the recently concluded pink ball practice match, even though the Indian side could not win over the Aussies especially after Ben McDermontt and Jack Wildermuth’s century at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Indian bowler Mohammed Shami was top notch with the bowl on Sunday as he took five wickets in the first session itself, which is considered to be a relatively tougher session to score wickets in. With Shami, it was known that he is extraordinary with the ball when the light comes in but when he struck off five wickes in the first session, Virat Kohli will take a breath of relief.

Another player to watch out for is the youngster Shubham Gill. In both the innings, the player came at number 3, which is changed from the prior order. His entry brought freshness to the team and their similar playing style. He scored 43 and 65 as he steeped in but more than that he showed more promise than Prithvi Shaw.
