Russian President Vladimir Putin talked with former US TV host Tucker Carlson. This was Putin’s first interview with someone from Western media since the Ukraine war started in 2022.
Putin said Russia can’t be defeated in Ukraine, and to end the war, the US should stop sending weapons to Ukraine.
In the interview, Putin talked about Russia’s history and his views on the war. He said Russia hasn’t reached its goals in Ukraine yet.
He believes a big global war would be very harmful to everyone. Putin said Russia is talking with the US government and that peace is possible if the US stops giving weapons to Ukraine.

Putin also said Russia doesn’t want to attack countries like Poland or Latvia. He only sees Russian troops going to Poland if Poland attacks Russia first. He mentioned that Russia has no interest in these countries.
The Russian leader shared that he’s open to peace talks with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
He accused Western countries, especially the US and former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, of making the war continue. Putin revealed that these countries are telling Ukraine to keep fighting Russia.
During the interview, Putin talked about the CIA and commented on Carlson once wanting to join the agency. The full interview was shared on a streaming service by Carlson, who has been critical of the US supporting Ukraine and has made negative comments about Zelenskyy.
Carlson said he interviewed Putin to understand why he invaded Ukraine and what his goals are. Putin’s talk with Carlson gives us a glimpse of his thoughts on the war and Russia’s role in it.
It’s odd to notice that the US and other Western countries often criticize the war between Russia and Ukraine, and demands for peace.
But still, they continue to profit by selling weapons to Ukraine. Essentially, these countries seem to be turning war into a business opportunity.
At the same time, Ukraine’s President Zelensky faces accusations of involving in large-scale corruption within his own country and government.
The situation is a complex mix of conflict and financial interests, raising questions about the true motives behind the ongoing war and the roles various leaders and countries are playing in it.
