The Russian President Vladimir Putin called PM Modi ‘a great patriot’. He also praised India for its ‘independent’ foreign policy (Make In India initiative).
According to Putin’s statement, the Russian President praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s independent foreign policy and referred to him as a patriot of his nation during his annual speech to the Valdai Discussion Club, a think tank with a base in Moscow, on Thursday. He also noted the progress India has made under his leadership.
At the Valdai Discussion Club, the Kremlin stated,
“A lot has been accomplished under PM Modi’s direction. He loves his nation and is a patriot. His ‘Make in India’ approach is important from an ethical and economic one. India has a bright future and may take pride in becoming the largest democracy in the world.”
The Russian president described India’s progress as phenomenal in its transformation from a British colony to a modern country and noted that its approximately 1.5 billion people and tangible development achievements are grounds for everyone to respect and admire India.
He additionally added,
“India has come a long way since it was a British colony and is now a developed nation. Nearly 1.5 billion people and demonstrable development achievements are reasons for everyone to appreciate and admire India.
He emphasized the bond between India and Russia even more, referring to it as exceptional.
It has been supported by a long-standing close ally relationship. We’ve always helped each other and never faced any challenging difficulties, and that is what is happening right now. I’m confident that will occur in the future, as Putin said.
Additionally, Putin emphasized that Prime Minister Modi had requested that he enhance the supply of fertilizers, which are crucial to Indian agriculture.
“We have 7.6 times more volume now. Agriculture trade has practically doubled,” he continued. Putin’s speech to the Kremlin-affiliated institute comes as Russia, more than eight months after beginning its invasion on February 24, continues to deepen the conflict in Ukraine.
Putin stated that the West cannot ignore the issues it has sparked throughout the session. The Russian president continued,
“Only a world united by common goals can act on the issues it faces. “The stakes in the game the West plays are power over the planet. This game is undoubtedly risky, gory, and, in my opinion, filthy.
The Russian leader emphasized how western nations are plundering everyone, even themselves, in an effort to impose their ideals and worldview as universal.
He cautioned, “First of all, this kills the West’s creative potential.” He continued, “There is also a commercial interest here.”
