The Indian blockbuster film RRR has won 4 trophies at the Hollywood Critics Association awards. RRR has also beat Hollywood famous movie Top Gun.

RRR received four honors at the Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards on Friday night. The action epic starring Ram Charan and Jr. NTR won awards for Best Action Film, Best International Feature, Best Original Song, and Best Stunts.

SS Rajamouli, the filmmaker, spoke during an awards ceremony on the importance of honoring stunt directors.

SS Rajamouli said in his remarks following the Best Action Feature victory, “I believe I need to check backstage.

I believe that after the second one, I’ll already be developing wings! It means a lot to me. Thank you. I have no words to adequately convey how much it means.”

SS Rajamouli went on, “We won the “Best Stunts” award for this “Best Action Film,” but the “Best Stunt” award likely went to the best stunt choreographer.

I really wish the stunt choreographers had been present to see this because I believe they are the team that puts in so much effort and risks their lives to entertain us.

I’m going to use this as a chance to request that all the big awards create a new category just for the stunt performers—stunt choreographers are so deserving of it!

This is for all the stuntmen, not just in my nation but all over the world, who put in a lot of effort to keep us all entertained.”

After taking up the prize for Best International Feature, Rajamouli joined Ram Charan on stage. The filmmaker pledged to continue producing quality movies, and SS Rajamouli dedicated his award to all of his fellow Indian filmmakers.

Fans’ aspirations for an Oscar are completely pinned on the victory. Now residing in Los Angeles, Team RRR will attend the Oscars on March 12.

The RRR song Naatu Naatu has received an Oscar nomination in the category of Original Song. Naatu Naatu received the Best Original Song Golden Globe in January of this year.

The song Naatu Naatu from the film RRR, starring Jr. NTR and Ram Charan, won the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Song.

Together with Lady Gaga’s Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, Taylor Swift’s Carolina from Where The Crawdads Sing, Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio’s Ciao Papa, and Rihanna’s Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Naatu Naatu received nominations.

RRR won two additional prizes at the 28th annual Critics’ Choice Awards five days later. In a ceremony held in Los Angeles, it also won the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
