Riteish Deshmukh & Genelia D’Souza Starrer ‘Ved’ Release Date

Genelia D’Souza & Riteish Deshmukh, a celebrity couple, have made their directorial debut with the Marathi film Ved. They were seen together in Mister Mummy before this.

Riteish Deshmukh, a Bollywood & Marathi actor, announced his debut as a director with Ved in 2021. He will be directed alongside Genelia D’souza, Jiya Shawkar, Ashok Saraf and Shubhankar Twde.

The trailer for the Riteish Deshmukh directorial was unveiled by the makers earlier today, 13 December, amid much anticipation. 

Ved will feature Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia, a real-life couple. The trailer suggests a love triangle, and promises action, drama, and romance.

Ved is a romantic drama that deals with loss and love. Riteish, who is best known for his comedy roles, becomes Satya, a grieving lover. Genelia, on the other hand, plays the role of Shravani. She marries Satya, and brings him out from his depression.

The trailer shows the couple as a young couple living a complex married life. It shows how Shravani is in love with Satya but he keeps his distance and ignores her feelings for him.

Genelia spoke out about her experience being directed by her husband Riteish, “I’m very happy because Riteish had always wanted to direct films. He never brought it out.

Lockdown was when he made the decision to go in this direction. He did it with all of his heart and soul. It is Riteish Deshmukh who selected everything you see on the screen.”

Riteish shared BTS photos from the film’s set in July and wrote a touching note to the team.

He posted the photos and wrote: “I’m excited about announcing that, with your blessings,” he added. 

“My team has completed the first stage after going through many obstacles and now the journey towards completion will be full of learning. The journey is easier if you have your soulmates.

Ved is ready to make his big screen debut on December 30, 2022. Ved was previously seen with Riteish, Genelia and others in the 2012 film Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya.
