Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Dsouza are reuniting on the big screen after 10 years with a comedy-drama film Mister Mummy.
After over ten years apart, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Dsouza are reuniting on the big screen. Although the upcoming comedy-drama film Mister Mummy was initially scheduled to open on November 11, it has now been delayed to November 18.
The real-life pair last appeared together on television in the smash romantic comedy Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya from 2012.
Mister Mummy, which is being directed by Shaad Ali, is now slated to compete with Drishyam 2, the eagerly anticipated crime drama starring Ajay Devgn and Tabu, as well as Akshaye Khanna, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta.
Riteish and Genelia’s movie’s official summary is that it centers around a couple who have different views on having children, but destiny has other plans for the childhood sweethearts as they embark on a crazy, bumpy trip of comedy and drama.
In advance of the movie’s premiere, the producers have released a new dialogue trailer. In the most recent video, Mahesh Manjrekar plays a funny and entertaining doctor who informs the couple that they are expecting a child.
Genelia appears pleasantly surprised, but Riteish is absolutely astonished and devastated. They both mumble the same words with opposite reactions, “What? Really? This cannot be done. We were making use of every safeguard.
The upcoming comedy film’s script was co-written by the director and Ananya Sharma; other writers include Ila Arun, Karishma Kotak, Eve-Yasmine Saoud-Easton, and Rakesh Bedi.
