Rihanna touches the billion mark to become the richest female musician in the world

Known for creating new records and leading the music industry with her charismatic singing style, Rihanna has become the richest female musician in the world after finally entering the billionaires club confirmed by Forbes magazine on Wednesday. 

As per Forbes, Rihanna’s net worth is estimated at $1.7 billion. But unlike most would imagine, the majority of her income does not come from music rather from her beauty products line–Fenty beauty cosmetics. Fenty contributes to 50 percent of her estimated net worth. 

The rest of her income also comes from Fenty lingerie x Savage company along with some of her works as an actress. The Barbados-born singer had taken the world by storm with her song Umbrella in 2008 and since then she has engaged in various fields while continuing to make music.

She has been very actively promoting her business line while also supporting the most vulnerable communities of the world by sharing the profits she earns annually. The singer’s beauty company has a broad range of skin tones which were created keeping the dark skin tones in mind. 

She came up with the idea in 2017 and the type of variety the company provides in the cosmetic world, really helps her income. She is only behind the world-famous talk show host Oprah Winfrey in the list of the richest female entertainers, Forbes said.

Forbes also revealed that among all the celebrities with their own make-up range, Fenty is the most successful one earning way more than its counterparts. Celebrities like Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and Jessica Alba have come with their own make-up line Kylie Cosmetics, KKW Beauty and Honest Company respectively.
