RCB vs CSK: Tata IPL 2024 cracker clash to intensify with absence of Will Jacks and impending Rain Downpour ?

Saturday, RCB and CSK fans are going to witness a cracker of a game at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. With a rampage going on by Virat Kohli leading the pack of run scorers in the tournament, Faf Du Plessis’s boys seem to have made it almost to the playoffs securing 5 straight wins, only the wall standing in front of them is CSK. The only option for RCB is to win every match left in the fixtures to qualify.

VK and team performance till now

Everyone in the stands and those watching in their homes would be praying that Kohli comes out all guns blazing and scores a ton while anchoring the innings for the team. That is what he has been doing for the team throughout the season while others play around him with explosive strike rates. Will Jacks, Dinesh Kartick, Rajat Patidar, Mahipal Lomror and Captain Faf have been hitting the ball while Kohli has been holding one end strongly.

The Royal Challengers now face a huge setback as Will Jacks and Reece Topley flew away to England for their preparation for the upcoming World Cup this Sunday after winning the match for the team against Delhi Capitals. The inform Jacks have contributed profusely in the middle order and has taken wickets too for the team. It’s a serious concern for RCB as Jacks has a century and a fifty against his name and has been hitting better than VK in some of the matches. Topley on the other hand was too expensive in the first half of the tournament and conceded too many runs. But he regained his form and found wickets for RCB in his spells. Flying out of the team means RCB have to access its players and rearrange the team to win its must win match against CSK.

Maxi (Maxwell) is set to make a comeback in place of Will Jacks as he complements the top order batsmans and comes in at 4. Although not in proper smashing form, Glenn is known to do wonders when out on the field. The management would need that sort of miracle from the Australian allrounder and hope that he takes a few wickets too during his bowling  spells.

CSK plan against RCB and players to watch out for

Gaikwad and his teammates are ready to pounce into the next stage. With MS Dhoni in terrific form this year, smashing the ball out of the park with over a strike rate of 200 plus, CSK fans are screaming their hearts out. With Shivam Dube, Dhoni, Gaikwad raining sixes and fours it will be tough to control CSK if they win the toss and choose to bat. Otherwise also the bowlers of CSK are working wonders too. Pathirana also is set to return to the teams playing 11 and that will also be a key factor that RCB batsman needs to consider.

All in all it’s going to rain sixes and fours during the game as the small ground’s pitch is known for favouring batsmans.There’s a chance of rain too during the game, the meteorological department has said as clouds have been hovering over the field. If the game washes out RCB would be off the playoffs but if it does not rain or does rain for a few moments of the game the DL method would come to play spicing it up even more.
