In Karnataka, there is a temple in the Sangargali village that does not allow women to enter. This temple is dedicated to Ravalkatta Baba, who used to be a night watchman in the village many years ago.

The temple is not very fancy, just a simple open platform with a lamp in front of it. The temples is located in the Sangargali village, in Khanapur taluka of Belagavi district in Karnataka.

No one knows exactly in which years Ravalkatta Baba lived in Karnataka, but the temple and its rituals have been around for as long as anyone can remember.

The villagers have decided to continue with the temple because of their belief in Baba’s powers. There are many legends about him, including one where he stopped a train.

There are some rules that the devotees of the temple have to follow. Men are allowed to enter the temple and pray, but they have to do it out loud in front of the priest. They are also not allowed to take the Prasad (holy food) home because women might eat it.

The villagers have a lot of faith in Baba and believe that he protects them. They say that he used to walk around the village at night with a stick and a lamp, and that people would leave their doors open on certain days because they trusted in his powers.

Even though the temple does not allow women inside, people of all religions and castes in the village have faith in Baba. They believe that he watches over them and keeps them safe.

Ravalkatta Baba was from West Bengal but his temple built in Karnataka.  It’s because as he was a respected saint who had followers in Karnataka and all over India.

His devotees constructed the temple in Sangargali, Karnataka, in the 1970s. People from different parts of India, especially Karnataka, Goa, and Maharashtra, visit the temple to pray to Ravalkatta Baba for blessings and help with their problems.

The temple has a unique design, with a central shrine, a courtyard, a large statue of Ravalkatta Baba, and a sacred pond.

This temple shows the deep devotion people have for Ravalkatta Baba, and it is possible that the temple was built in Karnataka because Ravalkatta Baba had visited the region before.

Brought Rain Within 3 Days

One of the most famous stories about Ravalkatta Baba is that he once saved his village from a drought. The villagers had been praying for rain for months, but their prayers had gone unanswered.

Ravalkatta Baba told the villagers that he would bring rain within three days. On the third day, he went to the village pond and began to meditate.

Another famous story about Ravalkatta Baba is that he once resurrected a dead child. The child’s parents were very sad, and they begged Ravalkatta Baba to help them.

Ravalkatta Baba touched the child’s forehead, and the child came back to life. The parents were overjoyed, and they thanked Ravalkatta Baba for his miraculous powers.

Ravalkatta Baba is said to have cured many people of incurable diseases. He is said to have predicted the future with accuracy.
