The actor who portrayed Lord Ram in Ramayan, will be appearing in the upcoming film ‘Six Nine Five’. The film is based on the events of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Arun Govil, renowned for his portrayal of Lord Ram in the popular 1987-88 TV series ‘Ramayan’, is set to unveil a film based on the Ram Janmabhoomi movement.

The movie, titled ‘Six Nine Five (6,9,5)’, has completed 95% of its shoot and is scheduled to be released around the same time as the formal inauguration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

In the film, Arun Govil plays the role of a ‘sadhu’ (ascetic) who dedicates his life to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and witnesses its growth and impact.

The title ‘Six Nine Five (6,9,5)’ derives from three significant dates associated with the movement:

  • the demolition of the Babri Masjid on December 6, 1992;
  • the Supreme Court’s verdict in favor of Ram Janmabhoomi on November 9, 2019; and
  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s laying of the foundation stone for the new temple on August 5, 2020.

‘Six Nine Five (6,9,5)’ has been filmed at various authentic locations in Ayodhya, including Hanuman Garhi, Dashrath Mahal, Digambar Akhada, Ram Ki Paidi, Guptar Ghat, Raj Ghat, and Jhunki Ghat.

The shooting experience was reportedly emotional for the cast members, as they were filming at places associated with Lord Ram.

Arun described the film as a cathartic experience, as it portrayed the truth and emotions connected to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement. He emphasized the significance of understanding and learning about history through the film.

Champat Rai, the general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, expressed support for the film’s objective of enlightening people about the truth of history.

Rai offered assistance and support to the filmmakers, highlighting the importance of raising awareness about the past and the struggle for the Ram Janmabhoomi.
