Rahul Gandhi to Launch No-Confidence Motion Attack on Modi Govt in Lok Sabha Today

Sources say that the vote of no confidence against Narendra Modi’s government will start on Tuesday in the “LokSabha”. Rahul Gandhi was put back into the Lok Sabha on Monday, three days after the Supreme Court overturned his conviction for criminal defamation in the Modi surname case.

Other speakers from the Congress will include Manish Tewari and Gaurav Gogoi, who are both members of Rahul Gandhi’s party. On February 7, 2023, after taking part in the discussion of the President’s speech, Gandhi delivered his final speech in the Lok Sabha.

A Gujarat magistrate’s court found the Wayanad MP guilty in March. He was a strong opponent of Modi and would have been his main opponent in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The Supreme Court upheld his conviction temporarily on Friday while it carefully considered Gandhi’s appeal before making a final decision. Gandhi was sentenced to two years in prison, but in April, the court took that sentence away. Last month, after the Gujarat high court upheld the conviction, he took his case to the Supreme Court.

The Lok Sabha will start to debate the motion of no confidence on 8 August, Tuesday. Sources say that a time of 12 hours has been set for the meeting.

In a recent development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress Party have been allotted specific time limits for their respective activities. The BJP has been granted a time limit of approximately 6 hours and 41 minutes, while the Congress Party has been allocated a time limit of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. This decision comes as both parties gear up for their upcoming engagements and aim to make the most of their allotted time. The time limits set for each party will undoubtedly play a crucial role in shaping their strategies and actions in the days ahead. According to sources, several political parties including Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), Shivsena, Janata Dal-United (JDU), Biju Janata Dal (BJD), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) have been allocated a combined time of 2 hours. This time has been distributed among the parties based on the number of members they have in the house, as per information received by news agency ANI.

Other minor parties and independent MPs have been given a time limit of 1 hour and 10 minutes.

Modi will respond on August 10th

On August 10, Modi will respond to the opposition’s request for a comprehensive discussion of the violence in Manipur and a statement from the prime minister during the discussion of Gogoi’s motion of no confidence against the BJP-led NDA government.

Mallikarjun Kharge the Congress president said in response to the question that Rahul Gandhi will undoubtedly speak during the Monday debate.
