Quentin Tarantino reveals his plans to retire from the industry after completing 10 films

Hollywood’s top director Quentin Tarantino confirmed on Sunday that he will be retiring from filmmaking after his 10th movie. The Oscar-nominated filmmaker believes that it is better to retire from the industry at the peak of his career.

The director has a lot of admirers and according to him, he is at the top of his game so he would want people to remember him for his present works. Tarantino is known for Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill: Volume 1 and 2 among others, which are all critically acclaimed.

He was on a show called Real Time With Bill Maher when the Once Upon A Time in Hollywood said that because he is so good right, he wants to quit when Maher questioned why he is quitting so young. “Because I know film history and from here on end, directors do not get better,” he added.

The filmmaker has worked with top names of the industry and now he feels that he has had a long career. While talking about him leaving the industry, the director said that there is no solid reason per se that he could explain to the public but it is something that he feels like doing.

He also said that even though any other directors who have had an equally long career may have done more movies than me, he still stressed that he had a long career. “That’s a really long career. And I’ve given it everything I have,” Tarantino added. After the 58-year-old director said this, the host was quick to point out that practice is what makes a man perfect and enquired if Quintine is looking at the reboot of 1992’s Reservoir Dogs.

The director responded by saying that initially, he had this idea but when he thought about his last movie, he chopped off the plan. It seems that the director is well aware of his fans wanting to see a reboot and hence referred to the internet while confirming that he will not be making the reboot.

The director’s ninth movie was Once Upon A Time in Hollywood which starred Leonardo Di Caprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie. Pitt even took home the best supporting actor trophy at the Academy Awards.
