Prime Video To Premier Naga Chaitanya Starrer OTT Series ‘Dhootha’

Naga Chaitanya, a well-known actor in the Telugu film industry, is making his debut in the OTT space with the series ‘Dhootha’. This series is set to premiere on Prime Video on December 1. It’s a big step for him as he’s known for his roles in popular films like ‘Ye Maaya Chesave’, ‘100% Love’, and ‘Premam’.

The Dhhootha series is Naga Chaitanya’s first venture into the OTT space. His fans and followers of Telugu cinema are eagerly anticipating what promises to be a thrilling and engaging series.

‘Dhootha’ is described as a supernatural thriller, a genre that blends suspense, mystery, and elements of the supernatural. This series promises to be atmospheric, offering a mix of tension and mystery that’s sure to captivate viewers. It’s the first long-format Telugu original from Prime Video, marking a significant expansion of their regional content.

Joining Naga Chaitanya in this venture are Parvathy Thiruvothu, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Prachi Desai, all playing vital roles. Each actor brings their unique talent to the series, making it a must-watch for fans of Telugu cinema and suspenseful dramas.

The man behind the camera is Vikram K Kumar, a national award-winning director. He’s not new to working with Chaitanya, having collaborated with him on films like ‘Manam’ and ‘Thank You’. His direction is expected to add depth and intrigue to ‘Dhootha’.

The plot revolves around Sagar, an ambitious and successful journalist played by Chaitanya. Sagar finds himself entangled in a web of supernatural events linked to mysterious and gruesome deaths. These supernatural occurrences start to impact his family, adding a personal dimension to the suspense.

Produced by Sharrath Marar through NorthStar Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., ‘Dhootha’ represents a significant production effort. The series has been in the pipeline for a while, and its release was eagerly awaited by fans.

The delay in the release of ‘Dhootha’ was due to the extensive post-production process required for OTT releases.

As Naga Chaitanya explained in an interview, once a product is handed over to Prime Video, it undergoes several processes like subtitling, dubbing in other languages, legal checks, and due diligence. All these steps are necessary to ensure a high-quality viewing experience for a global audience.
