President Droupadi Murmu Featured on Femina Magazine Cover

Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, is featured on the cover of Femina magazine’s August issue. She is the first tribal President in India and has achieved many firsts in her career.

She comes from a small town in Odisha and has overcome many obstacles to reach her current position. President Murmu is passionate about education and has served as a teacher for many years.

She encourages the youth to work towards building a better future for India. Femina is proud to feature her on their cover and believes she is a source of inspiration for young women and the youth of the nation.

President Droupadi Murmu will address the nation on the eve of India’s 77th Independence Day. The address will be broadcasted on Monday, August 14 at 7:00 PM on Akashvani and Doordarshan channels.

The next day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unfurl the national flag at the Red Fort and deliver a speech.

Around 1,800 special guests from various professions have been invited to attend the celebrations, including sarpanches, farmers, construction workers, teachers, nurses, and fishermen. Selfie points have also been set up at 12 different locations to commemorate government schemes.

President Droupadi Murmu will launch the advanced frigate ‘Vindhyagiri’ in Kolkata on August 17. The frigate is named after a mountain range in Karnataka and is part of the Project 17A program.

The launch will take place at Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers Limited. The new Vindhyagiri pays tribute to its predecessor, the INS Vindhyagiri, which served for 31 years.

The Project 17A program involves the construction of four ships by Mazagon Dock Ltd and three ships by GRSE.

The ships have been designed by the Indian Navy’s Warship Design Bureau, with 75% of the equipment and systems sourced from indigenous firms.

‘Vindhyagiri’ ship has modern features, weaponry, and sensors, symbolizing India’s commitment to its naval heritage and technological advancement.

The name honors the previous INS Vindhyagiri ship that served for decades. Around 75% of the ship’s equipment is from Indian companies, emphasizing self-sufficiency.

Vindhyagiri is a step toward India’s future defense capabilities. It also showcases the country’s progress in naval strength.
