Predictions And Expectations of The Upcoming 2024 Elections

The upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections in India will be a major democratic event where the whole nation, all 1.4 billion of us, will decide our future leaders. 

Right now, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, looks like the favorite. Modi is very popular – about 78% of people think he’s doing a great job. This strong support is a big reason the BJP seems ahead in the race.

But remember, elections can always surprise us. We’ve seen this before in 2004, when the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) unexpectedly lost. So, what should we watch for this time?

First of all, the results of recent state elections don’t always tell us what will happen in the national elections. For example, in 2018, the Congress did well in state elections in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan, but just months later, the BJP won big in these states in the Lok Sabha elections.

Next, there’s the challenge for the opposition parties. They’ve had a tough time in the last two national elections. This time, they’re trying to work together more. 

They’ve formed a new group called the I.N.D.I. Alliance to challenge the BJP. But they need to offer a clear plan that’s different from the BJP’s, pick a strong leader, and work out how to share seats in the elections.

Another important factor is the support from backward castes. The BJP has been doing well with these voters, but other parties are trying to win them back. This includes issues like caste reservations and benefits.

Also, welfare schemes could influence how people vote. Modi’s government has focused a lot on providing things like gas cylinders, bank accounts, and direct cash transfers to people. These could win them votes.

Apart from these, India’s role in the world matters too. Modi has been highlighting how he’s raised India’s global status. This can make voters proud and support him more.
