Police Reveals ‘Funny & Weird Excuses’ By Traffic Rules Violators

The Police dept. asked people to share their excuses while breaking traffic laws on social media. Many people revealed their ‘funny & weird’ excuses.

Traffic violators in the national capital come up with some unique excuses such as ‘the dog ate my driving license’, ‘I am not wearing a seat belt as I am pregnant’ to avoid fines and other punitive action and ‘Girlfriend is waiting’ etc.

Actually, this opinion of the people has come to the fore in response to a tweet by Delhi Police. Many social media users believe that telling the traffic police that they have committed the offense for the first time saves them from fines.

In fact, in a tweet, Delhi Police had asked people what kind of excuses they try to avoid fines for violating traffic rules.

Delhi Police posted a tweet on Friday,

“What are the most unique excuses you have given to the traffic police to avoid fines after violating the traffic rules?”

In response to this tweet from Delhi Police, social media users ranged from hilarious, witty, and imaginative to mundane excuses.

One person wrote, “Sir, my girlfriend is waiting. Let me go or there will be a break up.” This method succeeds every time.

Another person wrote on Twitter, “Sir. The first time is…leave it…for sure next time it won’t happen.”

Another person named Saurabh Shyamal wrote, one day when he was caught for not wearing a helmet, he said, “Sir, we are students and we have no money.”

A social media user wrote, he had given his partner’s excuse, “Sir, my wife’s affair is going on with someone, she is sitting in Hauz Khas right now with her.”

In this way people told about different excuses. What was your unique excuse, let us know in the comments!
