Police Investigate After Blast Near Israeli Embassy, Seems A Terror Attack

In New Delhi, near the Israeli Embassy, a small blast happened. This event is being closely looked into by the Delhi Police. Just before the explosion, two young people were seen on a nearby road on CCTV footage. It’s not clear yet if they are involved.

After the blast, which took place on Tuesday, the police made sure there was more security in the area, especially around the embassy and other Jewish places in Delhi. The police are also keeping a closer watch all over the city.

The blast didn’t hurt anyone, but a letter was found near the spot. This letter was rude and was meant for the Israeli ambassador. The letter mentioned an organization called “Sir Allah Resistance” and talked about Zionists, Palestine, and Gaza. It’s now being checked for fingerprints.

This situation reminds people of a similar blast in 2021 near the embassy. That time, some cars were damaged, and the National Investigation Agency looked into it.

Since earlier this year, when there was a war between Israel and Hamas, security has been tighter around the Israeli embassy. The police are now checking more CCTV footage to find out more about the two suspects they saw on camera.

The blast happened behind the embassy on Tuesday evening. A letter was found at the site, which had abusive language. The letter mentioned an “organization” and was written in Hindi. It’s being checked for clues now.

The police think a chemical substance was used in the blast, as no bomb parts were found. Many experts, like forensic scientists and anti-terror agencies, are helping to gather evidence.

The Israeli National Security Council is concerned this might be a terror attack. They have advised their citizens in India to be careful, especially in crowded places and where Westerners, Jews, or Israelis gather. They also suggest not showing Israeli symbols too openly and being careful about sharing travel plans on social media.

The Israeli embassy confirmed hearing a loud noise, and they are working with Delhi’s security to understand more. Thankfully, no one from the embassy was hurt.

The Indian and Israeli teams are working together to find out what happened. After the incident, more security measures were taken around the embassy and other Israeli places.
