PM Narendra Modi Lays Foundation Stones for Projects Worth 7,600 Crores in Maharashtra

As per the statement from the Prime Minister’s office, The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stones for various projects across Maharashtra worth 7,600 crores on wednesday through video conference. The statement from the Prime Minister’s office also mentioned that he will lay the foundation stone for the  upgradation of Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur today.

These 7000 crores projects will be contributed for the growth across multiple sectors including manufacturing, aviation, tourism, logistics, and healthcare, benefiting Nagpur city and the wider Vidarbha region. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the New Integrated Terminal Building at Shirdi Airport worth over 645 crore. The religious tourists coming to Shirdi will be provided with world class facilities and amenities. The PMO team also said that the proposal for the new terminal is based on the theme of spiritual neem tree of Sai Baba.

To ensure affordable and accessible healthcare for all, the Prime Minister will launch the operationalisation of 10 Government Medical Colleges in Maharashtra located at Mumbai, Nashik, Jalna, Amravati, Gadchiroli, Buldhana, Washim, Bhandara, Hingoli and Ambernath (Thane). These colleges will offer specialised healthcare to the people along with its enhanced postgraduate and undergraduate seats as mentioned.

The PM will also inaugurate the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) Mumbai with an idea to create an industrial ready workforce with cutting-edge technology and hands-on training. It is Collaborated with the Tata Education and Development Trust and the Government of India, a Public-Private Partnership model. Mechatronics, artificial intelligence, data analytics, industrial automation and robotics are some specialised areas where the institute is planning to provide specialised training.

The release also mentioned that PM will inaugurate the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) of Maharashtra which will provide students, teachers, and administrators with access to academic and administrative data through live chat bots such as Smart Upasthiti, Swadhyay among others. It will offer high-quality insights to schools to manage resources effectively by strengthening ties between parents and the state. It will also come with customised instructional resources to enhance teaching practices and student learning.
