PM Modi's Historic Ride on India's First Under-River Metro in Kolkata Kolkata

The East-West Metro corridor is a true marvel of engineering excellence. Out of the total 16.6 km length, the underground corridor spans an impressive 10.8 km between Howrah Maidan and Phoolbagan, with the tunnel under the Hooghly River being a standout feature. The remaining stretch is an elevated corridor, showcasing the project’s versatility and ability to adapt to different urban landscapes. This combination of underground and elevated sections ensures seamless connectivity while minimizing disruptions to the existing infrastructure.
