Modi will lay the cornerstone for India’s first and third public transportation ropeway and unveil development initiatives worth Rs 1,780 crore.
The nation’s first public transportation ropeway will be functional between Godaulia and Varanasi Cantt.
People will be able to use the ropeway once the project is complete to travel to Godaulia, Kashi Vishwanath Temple, and Dashashwamedh Ghat. They wouldn’t have to deal with traffic on the roads thanks to this service.
At a cost of Rs 645 crore, the ropeway project will connect Godowlia to Varanasi Cantt station. With five stations and a 3.75 km route, the ropeway system will make it easier for Varanasi residents, pilgrims, and visitors to move around and travel.
Devotees traveling to the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor will find it easier with the construction of the ropeway.
After Bolivia and Mexico City, Anurag Tripathi, project director for National Highways Logistics Pvt Ltd, predicted that India would be the third nation in the world to have a ropeway for public transportation.
