PM Modi To Launch ₹50,000 Crore Projects In 4 States This Weekend

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is embarking on a two-day tour of Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Rajasthan to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for approximately 50 projects worth around ₹50,000 crore.

This announcement comes shortly after infrastructure ministries presented a timeline for nearly 900 projects, totaling over Rs 13 lakh crore in investments, to be inaugurated this year.

According to sources, around 560 projects with a cost of approximately ₹7.6 lakh crore will be inaugurated by February-March 2024, while the foundation stones for the remaining 350 projects, amounting to around ₹5.6 lakh crore, will be laid across different states.

Among these projects, there are 60-65 “signature projects” of strategic importance or with a cost exceeding ₹5,000 crore each.

Notable signature projects include the Chenab Bridge, Pamban Railway Bridge, Sone Bridge, Dwarka Expressway, Ankleshwar-Baroda stretch of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, and Gorakhpur-Haryana Anu Vidyut Pariyojna.

During his tour, PM Modi will inaugurate the Amritsar-Jamnagar Expressway and a section of the dedicated freight corridor from Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction to Son Nagar.

Sources indicate that around 200 projects are ready for inauguration, with an additional 200 projects expected to be ready by the end of 2023.

The Prime Minister’s tour will commence in Raipur, where he will lay the foundation stone and dedicate multiple projects, including a six-lane section of the Raipur-Vishakhapatnam NH corridor.

He will then travel to Gorakhpur, attending a program at the Gita Press, flagging off Vande Bharat trains on three routes, and laying the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Gorakhpur railway station.

PM Modi will also visit Varanasi, where he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various projects, such as the four-laned Varanasi-Jaunpur section of NH-56 and the renovation of Manikarnika Ghat and Harishchandra Ghat.
