PM Modi Flags Off 5 Vande Bharat Trains In Madhya Pradesh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated five Vande Bharat trains from the Rani Kamlapati Railway Station in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh today.

The trains flagged off were the

  1. Rani Kamlapati-Jabalpur Vande Bharat Express,
  2. Khajuraho-Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat Express,
  3. Dharwad-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express,
  4. Hatia-Patna Vande Bharat Express, and
  5. Madgaon (Goa)-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express,

The 5th Vande Bharat is the first Vande Bharat Express for Goa and the fifth for Maharashtra.

PM Modi’s visit to the Shahdol district of Madhya Pradesh, scheduled for the same day, was postponed due to anticipated heavy rainfall.

In Bhopal, the Prime Minister virtually and physically inaugurated the Vande Bharat trains and addressed a booth-level function of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers.

The visit was significant as multiple Vande Bharat trains were launched on a single day, a first of its kind. Two of the trains were allocated to Madhya Pradesh, considering the upcoming state Assembly elections.

The Vande Bharat Express trains are high-speed trains known for their modern amenities and faster travel times.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to launch the Sickle Cell Anaemia Elimination Mission and distribute Ayushman cards during his visit.

Additionally, he planned to honor Rani Durgavati, a courageous warrior queen from the 16th century, as part of a yatra organized by the Madhya Pradesh government.

Furthermore, PM Modi intended to interact with tribal leaders, members of self-help groups, leaders of PESA committees, and village football club captains in Pakaria village.

However, due to the risk of heavy rains and inconvenience to attendees, the Prime Minister postponed his visit to the tribal-dominated Shahdol district. The decision was made to ensure the safety and comfort of those attending the events.

PM Modi expressed his plans for the “Mera Booth, Sabse Mazboot” program, where he will interact with dedicated BJP workers, which is planned to build a developed India.
