Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh interacted with the first group of the young fighters on Monday to encourage them.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday spoke with the first batch of the young warriors who participated in the address electronically from various regimental centers of the defense forces, giving Aginveers a significant morale boost.
The joint address by PM Modi and Rajnath Singh was attended by a number of Agniveers who are enrolled in the Agnipath programme.
These Agniveers came from training facilities such as the Signals Centre in Goa, the Sikh Regiment Centre, the Armed Corps, the Madras Regiment Centre, the Kumaon Centre in Ranikhet, and the 14 Gurkha Centre in Subathu.
It is important to draw attention to the virtual interactions with the Agniveers, the Raksha Mantri, the heads of the three forces, and General Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS).
At several service training facilities all over India, the training for the first batch of around 25,000 people below officer rank (PBOR) hired as Agniveers under the Agnipath scheme began in January.
For the Indian Army, a total of 19,000 Agniveers were chosen, and 3,000 each for the Indian Navy as well as Indian Air Force.
The training consists of Basic and Advanced Military Programs, which have been crafted to a standard of 24 to 31 weeks.
Notably, the Agniveers will operate for the following 3.5 years after finishing the six-month training. 25% of the Agniveers, or one-fourth of them, will be rehired for 15 more years once the four years are up based on their merit, motivation, and organizational needs.
A retirement package known as “Seva Nidhi ” would be offered to the remaining recruited Agniveers, approximately 75% of them.
In order to recruit PBOR, the Agnipath recruitment strategy essentially combines the important components of experience and youth.
