Pickpocketing, Theft Cases On Rise At Karachi Airport, But No Arrest

These days, there has been a concerning increase in theft and pickpocketing cases at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport in Pakistan.

The airport, formerly known as Karachi Civil Airport, has witnessed incidents where travelers and visitors have reported losing their belongings while in lounges, waiting areas, and car parking areas.

Some people have experienced theft through deceptive means, where individuals offered them sweets and other eatables as a distraction while stealing their belongings.

Surprisingly, despite these incidents, no arrests have been made so far, leaving the victims frustrated and concerned about their safety at the airport.

To address this issue and raise awareness among travelers and visitors, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) took action by putting up warning posters at the airport.

These posters advised people to be cautious and look after their belongings themselves.

However, the CAA later removed these banners due to criticism received on social media platform Twitter, as some users believed the banners gave a negative impression of the airport.

The rise in thefts and pickpocketing cases has become a cause for concern, and authorities are being urged to take appropriate measures to ensure the safety and security of passengers and visitors at the airport.

People are hoping that the authorities will investigate these incidents thoroughly and take necessary steps to prevent such thefts in the future.
