Paytm Money Launches Bond Investing For Retail Investors

Paytm has announced the launch of bond investing on its advanced investing platform Paytm Money for the retail investors.

Paytm is a leading mobile payments and financial services provider in India. One97 Communications Limited is the parent company of Paytm.

The company has announced the launch of an advanced bonds platform for retail investors. Paytm Money Limited will simplify bond investing for retail investors and provide them with an all-in-one solution.

The newly launched bonds platform allows investors to explore and invest in government bonds, corporate bonds, and tax-free bonds.

This user-friendly approach aims to empower retail investors by offering them convenient access to a diverse range of bond investment options.

The Paytm Money app’s bond platform provides investors with comprehensive information in one place, making the investment process more accessible and straightforward.

The platform converts data into yield, allowing investors to analyze and understand potential returns easily.

It eliminates the need to search multiple sources for information on coupon versus yield, clean price versus dirty price, coupon frequency, and coupon record dates.

All necessary information is conveniently available on the Paytm Money app’s dashboard.

Varun Sridhar, CEO of Paytm Money, expressed the company’s commitment to bringing the best technology-driven features to investors, ensuring their safety and security while providing a seamless bond investment experience.

Paytm Money aims to make bonds a core part of every Indian’s diversified wealth portfolio, believing that they are an ideal entry point for first-time investors to participate in the capital markets.

Bond investment in India is relatively new but holds great potential to attract a large investor base of up to 100 million individuals.

Paytm Money, as a registered broker with SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India), is utilizing the robust regulatory framework to introduce this innovative bond product.

The company focuses on simplicity, security, and transparency to provide Indian investors with a trustworthy and seamless bond investment experience.

Investors using the Paytm Money app can invest in tax-free bonds issued by public sector undertakings (PSUs) such as NHAI, IRFC, and REC. These bonds offer yields of up to 5.8% per annum and have maturities ranging from 5 months to 13 years.

Paytm Money is expected to revolutionize bond investing for retail investors in India, with the launch of the bonds investing feature on its platform, making it more accessible and user-friendly.
